World Embroidery Day at Lavina Mall
Lavina Mall, together with the National Center of Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum" and the MustHave brand, join the celebration of World Embroidery Day. The walls of the shopping and entertainment center will be filled with ethnic motifs, a good mood and an indomitable love for Ukraine.
In the central atrium of Lavina Mall, there will be an exhibition of embroideries from the collection of the Ivan Honchar Museum and the MustHave brand. In particular, it will be possible to see the works of Olena Kulchytska, a Ukrainian artist who worked in the genres of graphics, painting and carpet making. The craftswoman depicted in detail the absorption of Ukrainians from Hutsul region, Podillia, Bukovyna, Pokuttia, Opillia, Boykiv region, Lemkiv region, Polissia and Volhynia. Olena Kulchytska walked almost the entire west of Ukraine, writing from nature.
On May 14, Lavina Mall invites you to a lecture on Ukrainian embroidery, which will be held by Oleksandra Storchai, an employee of the Honchar Museum. Learn more about your own traditions to notice their reflection in modern times! A special guest for the occasion World Embroidery Day will be celebrated by Nina Matvienko, who will perform Ukrainian hits in the shopping center.
